Giving

“And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased.” – Hebrews 13:16

As the scripture states, we, as Christians, are called to share our gifts – both financially and through the giving of our time and talents.

When we become members of the United Methodist Church, we respond to the question: "As a member of this congregation, will you faithfully participate in its ministries by your prayers, your presence, your gifts, and your service?" And every time an individual joins our church, we reaffirm that commitment.

At St. Matthew’s, we offer several ways for you to give of your talents and resources.

Financial contributions:
You can make financial contributions by any of the following ways:

• Placing your offering in the offering plate during the church service.
• Writing a check to the church (made payable to St. Matthew’s UMC) and mailing or delivering it to the following address:

• Setting up payment to St. Matthew’s through your bank’s online bill payment service. The church will then receive a check or electronic payment with information on who sent the payment. We currently receive many payments via this method.

Time and talents:
There are numerous ways to give of your time and talents within our church. From teaching Sunday school, to being an usher, to serving in a leadership role within the church – the opportunities are unlimited.
