Vacation Bible School
What a wonderful 2011 VBS!!!
"Shake It Up Cafe" the week of June 13th led over 280 children in learning how to carry out God's recipe in their lives with the guidance of over 90 volunteers. As you can imagine we filled up the building nicely. Out of our volunteers, we had 4 fathers and a gaggle of grandmothers who spent their week with us, including a number of adults who do not have currently have children of VBS age. VBS 2011 was truly a church-wide event!!!!! As always our children showed their heart for missions and collected over $1,500 for our Honduras Mission Team. I would like to send a heartfelt thank you to our VBS Directors, Kim Clark and Allison Smith, and our Preschool Director, Natalie Smith. Thank you also to all our wonderful volunteers, youth, and church staff who so graciously served St. Matthew's youngest "saints." May God continue to "shake up" our lives.
