Foreign Missions

For more than a decade, St. Matthew’s has sent Volunteer in Mission teams to Mexico, helping to build clinics and churches, providing medical teams and conducting Bible schools. For the past two years, the teams have gone to Honduras, in cooperation with “Salt and Light Ministries,” where they have built houses for families living in scrap-material shanties, provided medical services to hundreds of patients who otherwise have no medical care, conducted Bible schools, offered sewing classes, distributed food and clothing, sponsored school scholarships for children, and worshipped with and witnessed to the people. The foreign missions team will continue to respond at least annually to situations of need in the world.
