Dear Youth and Parents:

Summer is over, and school life has begun again! Some of you are not excited about school (it IS school, after all), but many of you are in need of a more structured daily routine. Even though most teenagers would like to sleep until noon every day, those days are over for awhile (at least 180 school days), but the days of great worship and fellowship are in high gear!

As you are getting your schedules straight, make sure you plug in a block to spend time with God, as well as Wednesday (6 -7 p.m.) and Sunday nights (6- 8:15 p.m.) here at the church. Our regular weekly schedule is as follows:   

Sunday Nights

6 p.m. - Gather/Eat/Fellowship
6:30 p.m. - Worship/Lesson
7:30 p.m. - Jr. High & Sr. High Split Times

Wednesday Nights **

5 p.m. - Dinner
6 p.m. - Small Groups

Also, remember that we are planning retreats and “Marines: Boot Camp” for the year, and Confirmation will be here before we know it (January 2010).  

God has done some amazing things in us, through us, with us and in spite of us this summer. We are truly thankful for all He has done, from Mission Week, Schlitterbaun, Mission Week, Costa Rica, Virginia trip, Wednesday night Bible studies, Sunday night worship, all the way to the great adventures of Last Gasp. And don’t forget the great interns of the summer: Elizabeth Halford, Zack Vosen and Katye Herring. Now the new 7th graders have joined us and brought with them their energy and hunger to be a part of this great thing that God is doing.  May we all become deeper in our love for God and others this year as we aspire to be good and faithful disciples.
