Brian grew up in Madison, Mississippi, and considers it his hometown. He graduated from high school in Madison before earning a Bachelor of Science in Education with a major in Social Studies from Mississippi College.

Following college, Brian taught high school Social Studies for seven years at Rosa Scott High School and Germantown High School. During his teaching career, he also coached varsity swimming, tennis, and bowling at Germantown High School and Madison Central.

Brian began serving at St. Matthew’s United Methodist Church in 2014 as Youth Minister and now serves as Associate Pastor. He has completed the Course of Study for United Methodist licensed local pastors through Candler School of Theology.

In his role as Associate Pastor, Brian works alongside the Senior Pastor, staff, and lay leaders to support church operations, coordinate staff and administrative responsibilities, and carry out the church’s mission. His ministry responsibilities include leading Intersection worship, supporting Outreach and Wednesday Night Live, fostering adult Christian education and discipleship, and helping coordinate church facilities and administrative operations. He is passionate about equipping others for ministry, building strong relationships, and helping people grow in faith as disciples of Jesus Christ.

Brian and his wife, Laura Beth, were married at St. Matthew’s in 2004 and are the proud parents of three children: Carter, Fraiser, and Evie Jane.
