Laura has been a member of St. Matthew's UMC for over 20 years. She graduated from The University of Southern Mississippi in 2010 with a bachelors in Foreign Languages. Laura worked for 12 years as Director of Interpreter Services for The Mississippi Department of Child Protection Services. God called her in a different direction, and she became a part-time children's ministry assistant in 2022. During this time, Laura found a true calling to ministry and a desire to work hands-on teaching the children of St. Matthew's about God's love. In the Fall of 2023, Laura was named Children's Minister of St. Matthew's and is very excited about her new role in the life of our church.
