Kate Gibbs is our Director of Children's Ministry.  Her passion is for children's ministry to truly be a family ministry, to partner with parents in raising up children to be disciples of Jesus Christ. Kate is passionate about starting to form disciples even in the nursery, surrounding them with stories and songs about Jesus. Kate has nine years experience working with children. Currently, she is a sixth grade math teacher in Clinton Public Schools. She is also entering her final weeks of completing a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership that we believe will well-equip her to help lead and equip those who work in Children's Ministry.

Kate and her husband Jordan, as well as their daughter Nora have been an active part of St. Matthew's for four years. Jordan is a member of our Intersection praise team. You've probably already seen Kate working with children already. Kate has done Children's Moments in all three services, and she has also been working with Gena Holley and Tim Rigby with our children's choir on Wednesday nights this past year. She has also been a group leader at Vacation Bible School the last few years. We are thankful for the ways that Kate and her family have been serving our Savior here at St. Matthew's, and we look forward to seeing how God is going to use them in the years to come.
