The Rev. Steve Casteel is our Pastor Emeritus here at St. Matthew’s United Methodist Church. For many years after his retirement, the Rev. Rayford Woodrick served in an unofficial capacity as our “retired” pastor, and through this, served as a vital resource to many of our pastors and staff. Steve continues the tradition at St. Matthew’s.
Steve served as Lead Pastor of St. Matthew’s from 2001 to 2006, and since his retirement, he and Cindy have been active in the life of St. Matthew’s. In this position, he will serve as a resource and give wisdom and counsel to our clergy, staff, and laity. He will preach, lead worship, and help keep and guide the vision of our church. As God continues to grow and bless St. Matthew’s, we are excited that Steve will help us continue moving forward.
